random question about iPhoto

Does anyone know why simply clicking the close window button (or command + w) quits iPhoto? No other apps do this....just curious

Some other apps do this, although few of Apple's. Software Update does, for instance. And Windows Media Player. I hadn't noticed that with iPhoto, seems strange.

I wish more apps did this lol, such as safari. Know of any way to make it do this too?
