Hello all,

My wife and I are traveling the UK this summer and I'm planning on carrying our GPS that plugs into an automobile cigarette lighter.

Are cigarette lighter sockets in European cars the same as in the U.S.?

Please don't flame me if this is a stupid question. I'm asking honestly and from complete ignorance.

Thanks bunches!

yes and no.

If yours does look like this then it has to fit.

My car has 4 outlets, 1 cigarette and 3 12v outlets, they are shallower as to not accomodate a cigarette burner thingy which would melt it, would that be where the difference is???
