Ever since i upgraded to 10.7.1, I've been seeing lots of random read/writes to my hard drive using diskLED and activity monitor. This is of course keeping my HD spinning which brings up the temp. Right now, just browsing MacRumors and Skype, my HD temp is 45C...which is 6C above what it was on 10.7.0...and I've only been on 10.7.1 for about 45 min...i expect the temp. to go up even further...and my ambient temp is (not by the computer ambient temp sensor) 18C/65F....ive had to wrestle my HD temps since i got my 2011 iMac when they first came out...and i finally got it to stay below 50C...(brightness seemed to be the key) and now all my effort may have been pointless....ugh...any ideas? and has this happened to you guys? (or girls
