So I had a few random reboots on my iPhone 5 on iOS 7. I recently got a 5s and did not restore any data for that reason. While I was entering a web address in chrome my phone reboot randomly again. Any ideas?

Yep. I kept getting them after doing a restore and starting fresh so I called Apple and they're sending me a replacement. Whether this is a software or hardware issue I don't know. It seems to affect other devices too, not just the 5S but it's not affecting all users so who knows.

Try a dfu restore and set up as new.

Man I really hope this is a worked out in future releases of iOS. I am leaning more towards it being software since my iPhone 5 only had that issue on iOS 7 and on the stable version I didn't have to many reboots on the beta. I'm going to restore and see what happens I do t want to go through getting another 5s.

Go into Settings/General/About. Scroll down to the Diagnostic section and touch this.

If there are any entries in the Diagnostic section called PANIC.PLIST, then your iPhone has a hardware issue and will need to be replaced.

It might be the springboard that is crashing and seems to be common on the 5s.

Never had any issues like this on my 5S.

It's worth looking in the diagnostic log. If you see any PANIC.PLIST entries, contact Apple or make a Genius Bar appointment.

Nothing in the diagnostic list relating to panic. There is something in there about springboard I bet that is the issue seems to be purely software especially if others have that issue. I also cannot wait for 7.0.3

That's good then, as it seems to point to a software issue, whereas PANIC.PLIST are a hardware issue.

I had another one! While I was in chrome I'm starting to see a pattern here I've switched to safari to see if the browser may be the issue.

from reading this, sounds like chrome is the issue. Safari has some improvements in iOS 7, and it's screaming fast, maybe try closing chrome from the multitasker and only use safari until you get a reboot, I'm guessing that might not happen. Here's an issue w/Chrome: https://www.macrumors.com/2013/10/03/flaw-in-chrome-for-ios-7-reveals-incognito-searches/

Blue screens and reboots (springboard) are daily for me. There's no routine to it, sometimes it's using the settings, sometimes native apps like safari and mail and other times it's apps which are supposed to be ios7 optimized like facecack and instacrash.

Ughhh I closed chrome out yesterday and exclusively used safari and STILL got a reboot while watching a video. I'm only getting the reboots while using browsers it seems. Or that's what I use most so coincidently it's rebooting while I'm in a browser. very annoying.

Apple just released 7.0.3 and it has the catch all big fixes so hopefully the reboots are one of them I had another today.
