Hey.

Ever since 3.1.3 (or maybe even 3.1.2, but I'm not sure..) I have this problem:

In what appears to be random intervals, iTunes and my iPhone 3GS that I own (and sync) for a year now, decide that I've already synced an iphone to my Win7 Notebook and iTunes offers me to set up as new or from a backup.

Oddly enough, when I set up as new, all I had to do in the past (pre iOS4) was to set up as new, retick the fields for sync and everything was back (still, rather) on it.

Since iOS4 and grouped apps, this doesn't work anymore and it annoys the hell out of me. I haven't found the reason for this behaviour yet, but recently decided it -seems- to happen when I update or buy a new app via the iPhone instead of iTunes on my Notebook.

Yes, my 3GS was (!) jailbroken (blackra1n/spirit) but not unlocked.
Yes, I restored all the way already, because I also had the carrier-no edge/umts problem that was reported.
Yes, I uninstalled all things related to Apple on my notebook (including Safari) before reinstalling the most current versions offered.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this, or can confirm/deny the assumed reason for it? I could probably live with not updating/installing new apps via the phone, if that was confirmed to be the reason.

Thanks for advice offered.
