Hi,

I've been googling and found some info about slow shutdowns but nothing helpful.
I'm running Macbook Pro mid-2012, 10.8.4 with an SSD. Usually the shutdown process takes 1-2 seconds but at least once a day it gets stuck and takes about 10+ seconds. I'll post my shutdown log. Maybe you can at least tell me what's causing it if it can't be fixed.

Thanks!

I have same problem with retina 15.
why shutdown is slowly, more than 10 seconds.
But, for sleep/wakeup just 1 secondg

Same thing with my MBPr 15...

I wonder if it's just doing maintenance scripts or if it's really a problem.

I'm a new macbook pro retina owner. I've noticed the slow shutdown. I have just attributed it to Mountain Lion because it does that on my iMac and Mac mini too.

My previous iMac didn't have slow shutdowns when I was on Leopard & Snow Leopard.
