Hi everyone. I've had this problem since last year on my old Powerbook but I finally decided to ask for help. I'm now running a Macbook and every once in a while, I seem to be getting a system sound randomly coming from the computer. I have tried closing different apps assuming it is coming from one of them but it doesn't seem to have done the trick. It's hard to say when these sounds happen but sometimes they come in bunches (2 or 3 within a minute or two) or sometimes it's just once.

Here are the apps I have running when this happens:
MSN Messenger
Quicksilver
iScrobbler

Dashboard widgets:
Weather
Calculator
Calender
Stickies
PongClock
iStat

I believe I've tried closing Messenger and removing the Weather, PongClock and iStat widgets with no avail. Does anyone have any similar experiences or insight?

Thanks in advance!
