Hi,

I'm running a Macbook Pro, 2.2Ghz Core2Duo, 2Gig ram with 10.5.4

The computer is almost a year old and has run well with no problems.

Today the speaker volume display started flashing up on the screen as though I was pressing the volume down button. (I wasn't)

I've managed to suss out the Logitech USB receiver is the problem as it stops when I remove it. I have used this mouse and dongle for as long as I've had the laptop.

Although its a great excuse to go and buy a new mouse (preferably rechargeable this time! and bluetooth) I would like to resolve the problem.

Has anyone here experienced similar problems? Is it easily fixed?

Thanks,

Andy

Time to get a new mouse. ;)

Have you tried putting in new batteries? I prefer Energizer Lithium batteries. They cost a lot, but they last a long time.

Thanks for all your comments and suggestions!

Can anybody recommend a decent bluetooth rechargeable mouse? :)

I don't think they sell rechargeable bluetooth mice… but a Logitech V470 is good. It's not rechargeable, but just buy rechargeable batteries if you really want it!
