iPhone 12 Randomly cellular connectivity hangs

Since last month or so, randomly I stop getting any calls on my iPhone 12 iOS 15.1. Network signal is full but unable to make or receive calls.

Once I restart the phone and then the problem disappears only to return a week later. Is this a software or hardware issue?
