Randomly deleted contacts on iPhone!

As of last week, my iPhone started to delete contacts by itself, without me doing anything to cause it.

On my Mac, all contacts are still there, so when I sync again (using MobileMe) the contacts are restored, rather than deleted on my Mac too.
Usually it's about 2 or 3 contacts a day and it's rather annoying ...

Anybody experience the same thing or have a solution?

yes, I had the same issue a few days ago. but a bit different.


my contacts would lose their numbers, and only if they were in my phone favorites. it would also erase the numbers from my contacts on my mac because of mobile me.


oddly enough, the numbers remained in my favorites list but just not attached to a name. so I was able to figure out who was who and add them back, I had two rounds of this and it has stuck for the past few days now.
