Hey guys...
So my mom took about 70 pictures on a recent trip overseas with family she hasn't seen in over a decade using our new Canon HF S10. After transferring the videos to her computer with iMovie, I did a quick wipe of the camera's hard drive and ended up deleting all of the pictures she had taken.
I've tried two options: Data Rescue 3 and photorec (part of the testdisk package). Photorec restored a few photos; however, a Finder warning popped up saying a disk was removed without being properly ejected. Since then, I've tried to unplug/replug the camera and run the scan, but usually within a couple of minutes, I'll get the same warning and the scan will stop (happens with both pieces of software).
So basically... I think I can recover (most of) the pictures if my computer stops randomly ejecting the camera. Any solutions or advice?
Thanks in advance
