Hey guys,

Recently upgraded the internal harddrive of my 15' MBP (2010) from the stock 320 gb 5400 rpm to a 7200 rpm 500 gig WD scorpio black. I use the drive in conjunction with my Vertex SSD LE.

I got the SSD installed on the original HDD bay and the WD scorpio in the Optical bay. Found that the 7200 vibrated too much and was too noisy, so i swapped places, and since then the laptop has been acting really strange on me.

The sleep problems I've dealt with by changing the pmset from the safe-sleep to just a sleep function. But lately, the drive has been randomly unmounting and every once in a while the laptop would not sleep.

Anyone have any luck with dealing with these strange issues?

Things I've tried:
Pram + SMC reset
Disk utility repair of everything (via external cd drive).

Any other suggestions?
