This is about my brother's 2009 13" MBP running 10.5.8 Leopard:
He pressed CMD+SHIFT+Q to log out, and it immediately went to the setup utility and played the welcome video, you know, the one with the cheesy music and flying letters in space. He closed the setup and rebooted. The computer no longer boots and gets stuck on the Apple logo.
I tried to install Snow Leopard to replace the OS, and now it gets stuck on the grey screen.
What the heck just happened???!!! Has anyone ever heard of this happening?
P.S. All of the data is safe. I am taking all of his stuff off of it right now.
