how far can I be from my phone for my watch to still get alerts like Text Messages, Whatsapp, or Phone Calls?

It will depend on your local environment and connectivity but probably around 10m if connected via bluetooth or 50m if connected via Wifi. Give or take.
nice thanks, more worried about at home and I would be on wifi so 50m sounds great
Like @Howard2k said - if you can get Wifi where you need to be, then the watch will get those alerts
Bluetooth around 10-15m tops.
