This is what I want. I expect this is what a lot of people want. Simply put, I want this:
1. To have my iPhone.
2. To have my iPhone's sync cable.
3. To plug one end of my iPhone's sync cable into my iPhone, and the other end into a mac or a pc
4. To have the device come up in finder, or explorer, respectively.
5. To be able to drag & drop files on to it from each.
end.
I don't want to have to install programs on the workstations, I don't want to have to install wireless cards. Just a nice simple bit of drive (even a partition, I don't care) like any cheap USB thumb drive has that enables transporting files from computer to computer. No funky file systems, no stupid sync-only itunes libraries, no confounded DRM nonsense, no BS. Just easy and functional file access.
Is this even possible with the access granted by the SDK?
If it is, and I have to learn to code from the ground up myself to write it, I'll do it if need be. It'll take a while, but this is needed. If someone else is going to do it, say so. I'll donate. Starting the pool at a hundred bucks. Anyone else that wants to see this happen, put your donation on here. We'll raise some funds and motivate someone capable of doing the job. Whomever gets the job done right first, gets the moolah.
That we have to go to these lengths to get this device file access is ridiculous. WTF, Apple.
Hugs & kisses,
