Yikes, this is giving me some pause on who I have as a webhost.

Web host agrees to pay $1m after it’s hit by Linux-targeting ransomware

A Web-hosting service recently agreed to pay $1 million to a ransomware operation that encrypted data stored on 153 Linux servers and 3,400 customer websites, the company said recently.

I'm pretty sure that company is going to lose a lot of business after this.

Depends on how much the encrypted data is worth...
For a large company,one million is sometimes not that much money,when it comes to what it would cost to recover or just remake everything stored on the ransomed servers.
