(Rant) rMBP prices, evil greedy intentions of :Apple:

$1,499 13", 2.0 GHz, 540 graphics, 8 GB, 256 GB, 2 ports

(DOWNGRADE from last year's model of same price; 2.0 GHz for $1,499 is robbery)
$300 upgrade to marginally usable 2.4 GHz CPU, 540 graphics

(same price as the Touch Bar $1,799 model, with weaker CPU, weaker iGPU, less ports -- if you buy this, you are an idiot)​

Basically the $1,499 model is un-purchasable.

$1,799 13", 2.9 GHz, 550 graphics, 8 GB, 256 GB, 4 ports

(same RAM/SSD as 2013 rMBP at the same price; Where is Moore's law?)​

To add more damage, this is year 2016 with like 1/3 price of RAMs and SSDs compared to 2013, and they still charge $200 for 8 GB -> 16 GB, $200 for 256 GB -> 512 GB. Both 8 GB RAM and 256 GB SSDs can be bought for less than $50 outside Apple.

Seriously Apple?
You make us wait over 500 days and bring us a downgrade for the same price.
The base rMBP at $1,499 is not purchasable, practically raising the price levels of rMBP by three hundred ****ing dollars. Good job.

Much better value for the money to just grab 2015 rMBP at a discounted price. Thanks.

I haven't considered prices yet because I've been too excited to read 300 posts about people who spill crap on their laptops. Every time a new one comes out, "HEEEELP I spilled coffee on my Mac". Or, "OH God I was changing my child's diaper right next to my Mac and he/she peed in the air". "My mom died on my mac, how do I get the vomit out".

Some of the craziest things, and it happens too much NOT to be funny. Not the deaths though, I was just being a smart ass. That would be sad...

[doublepost=1477618007][/doublepost]On a serious note, I popped over to see the maxed out 15", and if I'm not mistaken, it's 200 dollars LESS than the maxed out 15" 2014 was, AND you get an extra terabyte of space, not to mention it's faster.
