Hi all,
I have a docking station (little white brick) for my lightning connection for my iphone stashed in my cars dash. I use the lineout on the dock to connect to my aux in.
I use an extension to connect it to my iphone.
But I heard that if the docking station is used via USB it disables the rapid charge and only draws the standard USB 5v 1a.
The dock is connected to a 5w 3a charger so it should have plenty of power.
However, the phone charges slower than if it directly connected to a 2.1A converter.
Does anyone know if the dock would support high speed / rapid charging and if so could I just disconnect the 2 usb wires from the lightning cable wire to enable it?
Could a 30pin dock support that either? I have one of those with a 8 pin adapter as well.
