Just updated to iOS 16 but I noticed that the Rapid Security Response is enabled by default.

Even if I decide to disable it but instead manually check it, will those security updates and fixes will still show up allowing me to choose whenever I need or want to install them?

I just don’t want them to be downloading and installing in the background without me noticing.

Because what if I am doing some work or tasks on my iPhone and those Rapid Security updates are automatically downloading and installing and that may slow things down on my iPhone.

Is it fine to just manually check them and install them whenever I want?

Rapid Security Response updates is vague in description but it says certain files will be downloaded and installed no matter what even if it's disabled

I’ll just turn it off and check them perhaps once a week and download it manually. No big deal.

However, I found this great information here as well.
Scroll to the bottom which reads:

There is also a toggle for turning off automatic installation of Rapid Security Responses, which then allows them to be downloaded manually.

Thank you.

Some files will be downloaded regardless if you want it or not...
