RAR and Snow Leopard?

Hi folks, I have to make a rar volume set...
I know about unrarx, and unrar via mac ports, but I have to MAKE some rar files.

Simplyrar makes files with just the rar extension - I'm used to seeing r00, r01, r02 - what is the difference?

I believe 7zip is on iMac too. It supports lots of archive formats.

I Googled rar snow leopard and this thread was the second link to show up. There was no link to rarlab.com on the first page.

Because of these forums, members are able to find directions toward what they're looking for. Comments about "Googling first" negate the need for forums in the first place. In fact, without these forums, many Google searches would be inconclusive.

Long live the forums!! (and members posting and looking for help)
