Hi, was wondering if someone could help me, I'm looking for a program that will compress files in the .rar format. I've found rarosx, but as I'm not really proficient in using Terminal I'm having trouble getting it to work. Is there a quick drop and compress program (or failing that can anyone give me a very quick rundown on the commands to get rarosx program to run in terminal. But be warned I'm a terminal gumby) Thanks.

You don't actually have to do anything with terminal with rarme. It does everything itself. You can select it to do the process in rarme itself too you know.

seriously tho, i try to not complain about people not going to google with a question first, because sometimes people cannot find what they are looking for... but honestly...

google search: unpack rar mac

first link. http://freewaremac.net/2006/unpacking-and-creating-rar-files-on-mac-os-x/

it's actually even easier than going to MR forums -> posting -> waiting -> going through motions anyway.

it's all good, tho. make google your friend.
