Rar Files on external drive

Hello,

I have some large Rar files saved on my external drive. Is it possible to uncompress them onto the external drive as my laptop doesn't have enough space?

Can't find the answer anywhere.

If you use The Unarchiver, the .rar files will get extracted into the same folder they reside in, thus on the external HDD.
If you use UnrarX, you can choose where to extract the .rar files to.


And last but not least: DIY to see if it works that way.
