i got a movie with a bunch of rar files (.r00, .r01 etc.) what program can i use to compress these or uncompress. i dont know im new to this. it would be nice if you guys tell me where to go for video help. thanks

The file is packed in many rar files, right. If so I can't help you :) . But I can tell you that I tried Stuffit and it didn't work. I had to use Winrar on my Windows box.
I might be wrong on the Stuffit theory though. I gave up after only one try.

Try these guys if Stuffit won't work.

Honestly I haven't tried this using files with .r00 .r01 extensions (personally havent seen them in that layout before), but you could try RAR Expander. It supports multi-archive files such as that and also can handle password protected ones as well.
 
I mostly use the unrar binary through Terminal (you can get it at rarlabs.com) - Stuffit crashes for me sometimes too and RAR Expander doesn't let you paste passwords for any archives - the 3.6b3 through Terminal is faster too on bigger files it seems.
 
since i updated my software i cant use unrarx ne more so i found simplerar and it works just fine
