Where did the files come from? Generally, .rar files are compressed archives, not audio files themselves, but it's also possible it's an uncompressed digital audio raw file.
If it's a compressed archive, then StuffIt Expander, TheUnarchiver, and UnRARX can all uncompress and you can see what files are inside it and how to play them....
