Rare Error on Apple Leather Case

In October 2022 I bought an iPhone 13 Pro leather case in a half off sale for $30. Look at what the text says on the inside of the case. "Designed by Apple in Californie".

Thought it'd be interesting to share this rare Apple mistake. It came straight from Verizon so I'm pretty sure it's real.

I don't think that's an e as much as it's just hard to make out the letterform of the a on the soft fabric surface.

The first a in the word California has this curved part, but the second a that is supposed to be there doesn’t have this curve. This gives more indication that it’s an e
