Hi all,

Anyone out there with any experience integrating a RATGDO into their HomeKit setup? Specifically through flashing the unit with native HomeKit firmware?

I’ve had the Meross opener for a couple years and have had nothing but issues with it. I know most love theirs but I’ve finally come to my breaking point with it and at the very least try another solution to see if it rules out or confirms the issues I’ve been having with Meross. Which leads me to now…

I just received the RATGDO (disco) after reading nothing but rave reviews and am now trying to set it up. Unfortunately I can’t seem to get the thing flashed with the HomeKit firmware. Anyone out there had luck with it that may be able to offer insight?

Much thanks in advance.

I have not installed it but I've kept one eye on it for some time now as an alternative to my current system. You didn't mention how you tried to install it? Are you using HA and making the intro to HomeKit that way or doing something else? ratgdo installer for HomeKit or Installing Firmware remember to use google chrome browser or it won't work.

Thanks for the response. I was installing the native HomeKit firmware. I don’t want to run any additional platforms such as HA or Homebridge etc…. Ive also been using Chrome. I’m not quite sure what the issue was but it took me quite a bit to finally get it successfully installed I did finally get it installed. Seems to be more reliable than my Meross so far too which is good. Fingers crossed it!
