Excuse the n00b question, but at what point am I (a regular Mac Rumors forum member) able to "rate" the articles posted at the forums?

Did I miss the memo on this? I click the rating I want for the post and never get an acknowledgment or see the positive / negative score change after I do so.

Thanks!

Postive/Negative rating totals on articles do not update in real time...I don't remember how often they update, but it's every few minutes.

So rest assured...your vote is counted, even if the totals don't change right away.

You aren't the first one to run into the delay, but it's necessary for efficient performance.

We also get asked what the ratings mean and that's a harder question to answer. We did our best in this FAQ entry.

Thanks so much for the help! (Oh and for being the test in my first use of multi-quote. Cool tech!)
