iPhone 17 Pro Max Rattle coming from back camera(s).

Does anyone else hear a rattle coming from the cameras when you “Shake to Undo”? I’m wondering if this is normal. iPhone 17 PM.

If you put your iPhone close to your ear and “Shake to Undo” I hear a rattle coming from one of the rear cameras.

I just want to make sure this is normal or not.

I can hear something when I shake my 17 PM. I’m pretty sure my previous PMs were the same so, completely normal IMO.

It’s common, pretty sure it’s the physical part for image stabilization.

It is the lens and associated image stabilization, and it's not limited to iPhones. I can hear it in my Galaxy S24+ and my wife's Pixel 10.

You can actually test this to give yourself peace of mind:
Close the Camera app and shake it (you hear the rattle).
Open the main Camera app, and then shake it again.
If the sound stops or significantly lessens when the camera is active, you're all good! It means the OIS system has engaged and locked the components into place.
If the sound is extremely loud, or if you notice your photos/videos are blurry and out of focus, then it might be time to contact support. But based on your description, it sounds like your powerful camera is just doing its job!
