rattling in new mbp

i purchased a 15.4" 2.5GHz macbook pro in june of this year for college. nearly two months afterward, i noticed a slight rattling noise in the right-hand side of the unit, just by the power button mostly only when the fan operates at 2000rpm, but figured this to be normal fan noise. since then, the rattling has gotten progressively louder and now continues for all fan speeds. the rattling goes away after a light tap of the general area, but returns within an hour or so. the rattling itself is not quite as loud as other users have reported, but the noise patterns have changed. this change in fan noise patterns leads me to believe that this could, indeed, be a hardware problem. im still protected under the one-year warranty that comes with the machine after purchase. do you think that this is a problem worthy of making an appointment with the genius bar?
