I just received my new iPhone 17 Pro, and when I shake it, I hear a rattling sound coming from the camera area. It sounds like something is loose inside.

I've read that this could be the optical image stabilization (OIS) system, but I'm still surprised by how loud it is on a "Pro" iPhone. It makes the phone feel a bit like a fragile toy. I also hear the sound when I place the phone on a table, especially on the corner with the camera module.

Am I the only one with this issue?

i got mine today 17 pro max . I have noticed a rattling sound emanating from the camera when I shake the phone. This phenomenon is not uncommon and is attributed to the larger telephoto lens present in the device with OIS. So i think your phone is ok as mine

thx, i hope it's not only some phone and no other, if i put down my phone on a table on the angle of the camera it sound like a fragile toy, like it feel like if i drop the phone it would break, maybe i m overeacting but my mother 15 pro doesnt make that sound

you know i think we are spoiled before with stainless steel and titanium used in pro models. just enjoy your new mobile put a case and screen protector., and the rattling sound it is totally normal. my friend has Samsung s24 plus i shake the phone and it makes the same sound i hear when shaking my iPhone.

thx man, phone look to function well anyway, just surprised phone that expensive sound like plastic toy xD
