Hello Friends!

So I have been doing some extensive internet research and I am coming up empty handed on all fronts. To make a long story short, I accidentally did a backup restore of a file from 7/31 BEFORE syncing the iPhone. This means that all my lovely pictures from my recent vacation were wiped clean and never backed up. I had good reason to do this restore based on a glitch in the iPhone erasing all my text messages, however it is totally my bad that I did not do a sync before doing a restore.

So, I have just jailbroken the phone using the Redsn0w tethered version for iOS 4.3.5 and have been following direction through SSH to create a disk image using this command: dd if=/dev/rdisk0s2 bs=4096 | ssh username@IPaddress 'dd of=iphone_rdisk0s2_4096.img'

Many different things keep happening.. the iPhone will all of a sudden lose connect with the wifi and stop the transfer, i will get a message that the connection was terminated or there was pipe damage of some sort. As you can tell I am not terminal code savvy but I think i read somewhere that with Apple's new encryption I can no longer mount a disk image anyway.

So here I am asking if any of you lovely people might know of a way to either get my photos back from an iPhone 3GS running 4.3.5 (8L1) and not backed up OR create a disk image of it so I can use a photo recovery software...

Thank in advance for any insight.
