Rayban Wayfarers or Persol 0649

Today I tried on the Persol 0649 and really liked them especially the new ones with blue lenses but the Wayfarers look nice and they are cheaper too. I don't know which one do you like more?

The Persols for sure.

Firstly, they look more distinct, and nicer overall.
Secondly, they're Persols, and that's pretty cool.
Thirdly, Raybans remind me of that crazy midget, Tom Cruise.


Actually, it'll depend on how they look on your head and face. It's hard to judge without seeing you wear both.
 
Get imitations of the raybans. They go for about 20 dollars, you could probably get 10 pair for the same price. They look identical :eek:

EDIT: If you are set on one of the two, I like the persol, they're much more distinct and there's no way for people to have similar looking imitation glasses
 
The Persols. They're better glasses (IMO) and they're not as trendy; everyone has Wayfarers or Wayfarer knockoffs, not nearly as many have Persols.

Try €5. Everyone has wayfarers, and most people that do are douchebags. The Persols look nice, but this whole discussion is worthless if we don't have a picture of you wearing either of those glasses.
 
Ray-bans. Stick with a classic. We're talkin' being in the company of Doc Hollywood, Jake and Elwood, and Corey Feldman 80's teen comedies too numerous to enumerate.

The other pair looks a bit too weird to me. Ray-ban has a good warrantee also. And the Predator style is pretty cool, in a classic type of way.

By 'not as trendy', if you meant that fewer people wear Persols, then it's true. If you meant that they're not as fashionable, then I think it's false.


And imitation sunglasses aren't even worth $10. The lenses aren't as good as a genuine pair of glasses from a good manufacturer. In fact, sometimes they're just tinted plastic, and they may actually not be curved entirely perfectly, giving you headaches later. They'll have a tint, but that's it.

With my sunglasses, the transparency ranges from 25% to 9% depending on how strong the UV is. They're like transition glasses, so if I'm driving, and it suddenly turns from sunny to cloudy, I don't need to take them off. They change their tint. Also, the glass lenses are designed to filter certain wavelengths more than others so that what you see through the glasses look outstanding to human eyes.

I do indeed mean that not as many people wear them. The Persols are certainly just as fashionable, if not more, than the Wayfarers. For me fashionable isn't really defined by what everyone else is doing; in fact, if you follow the crowd I would venture to say that you probably aren't actually as fashionable as if you had done something different than what everyone else who claims to be fashionable is doing.
 
So no one has purchased from unitedshades.com? Does this seem like a real price because they retail for $300+.
