hey I'm looking into these keyboards for gaming on my Mac while dual booting for windows. I know the lighting works while in windows, but was wondering if the lighting works while on OS X? Anyone can let me know, this is my ultimate deciding factor.

On most keyboards I've seen backlighting is a function of the keyboard itself, independent of the computer. The software they include can reprogram colors, but basic backlighting should work.

You should probably decide which switches you want first then pick your keyboard. These two keyboards have very different switches. I like reds like the Corsair has but many don't, the Razer uses custom switches and they feel nothing like reds they're more like browns.
i prefer brown switches. I would be ordering the corsair with brown switches over the typical red switches. More so I am worried will the lighting effects works when I switch between my partitions.
