I'm having problems setting up the forward and back buttons on this mouse. I set up the macros but the darn things won't work.

Can anyone save me before I chuck this $80 mouse across the room.

*edit* I've been searching for a hour before this thread start and still can't find any answers. I have the latest firmware and driver updates on my mac for the Orochi.

I am having the same problem... Right now I only have "back" working (Press Command, Press [, Release [, Release Command).

But if I do the same thing to get "forward" to work, a series of strange random actions happen: Show Desktop, spaces turn on, screen brightness goes down, and the letter "a" keeps getting pressed on my keyboard... So, I unplug my mouse, and the craziness stops.

When I plug the mouse back in, the macro I used last is gone from my list of macros, and the button assignment to that macro is set to "Button Off"

I just got my little Razor and have the same Problem. Really hope to get answer here. Greetings

Hey all.

Just wanted to let you know that you can use BetterTouchTool to make your mouse do button combos. the command+[ and command+] work perfectly using BTT. Enjoying my Orochi a lot more!

How to Fix it :)

Go to system preferences, keyboard and then keyboard shortcuts select application shortcuts at the bottom and add a new one by clicking +.
keep it at all applications, menu title " Back " you have to right it like that ( no quotations :p ) for keyboard shortcut click the fn key along with F5. Create another one menu title " Forward " for keyboard shortcut fn with F6.
Open razor orochi configuration go to button 5, single key and make it F6, button 4, single key F5 and here you have it! enjoy your orochi :)

Abou to return Orochi

I can not get my macros setup correctly. The furthest I have gotten is setting up the Back and Forward but then when I go to add a third (and NOT change anything related to the Back/Forward) the Back and Forward get completely screwed up. The Macro Recording still is exactly the same as when it was working but it functions completely incorrectly after trying to add a third.

Is is important to mention also that I can only ever get the Back/Forward working after an intense amount of trial and error. The "Back" macro often is easier to get to work than the "Forward" and I have no clue why. I am using the CMD+[ for "Back" and CMD+] for Forward. Note: the "+" is just indicating the additional key press.

Can someone who has the Orochi setup correctly please advise on the Macros they have setup or maybe just offer some general insight as to why my Orochi is acting so screwy.

Any help/advice would be great. I've heard great things about this mouse but so far it has been completely useless to me.

I am talking about when plugged in. I figured I'd like to get everything programmed while in USB mode before attempting anything with cordless/Bluetooth.

@blueroom - when you have the mouse connected via USB how are your macros configured for Front/Back?
