Hello guys,

I did a quite research on the web and emailed razer support but could not find a working solution so I'm writing it here as my last resort.

I had problems with assigning modifier keys to mouse buttons 4 & 5 on my Deathadder 2013 so razer support advised me to do a repair permissions and uninstall the driver software with App Cleaner and reinstall it afterwards.

Well, after uninstalling and restarting, I installed it, everything worked OK. My mac restarted as it should after a synapse install. However, after the restart, nothing happened. No razer icon on manu bar, no razer related files on my mac at all... as if the install never took place. Tried it several times and got the same result. Did permissions repair as razer tech advised and still no luck.

Do anyone else has the same problem? Do you have any idea what might have gone wrong? I checked my library folder and there are no razer related files, there is also no razer related background process'

I'm using Mountain Lion with latest updates. Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure if the situation has changed in the last few months or not but I had purchased a Naga Epic a few months ago and it was great until I found out that Synapse 2.0 isn't supported on Mountain Lion. Every time I closed my laptop to put it to sleep, the next time I woke it up to use it again Synapse was frozen and the mouse wouldn't work. I contacted Razer and they told me that Mountain Lion wasn't currently supported so I sent the mouse back to Amazon and picked up a G700 instead. I actually probably could have stuck with the Naga Epic had I known about the software I use with the G700 (USB Overdrive). My G700 has worked great though since I got it. I still liked the ergonomics of the Naga Epic though.

Hmmm, Logitech mice always been nice but it lacked OS X support, now they have native drivers for OS X, I think I'll ditch all my razer gear and go back to logitech since their new drivers are perfect and %100 working on a mac.

Razer always been better on ergonomics but always lacked on the software side.

The funny thing is that the pre-synapse software seems to work fine on Mountain Lion for the Naga.

You know the one that you don't need to have a Razer account to set up your mouse.

When my Naga dies, I think I will be looking at some other brand of Mouse just due to the software.

The worst thing about synapse 2.0 is even 3rd party drivers work better than theirs. I used SteerMouse instead of synapse 2.0 and I could use side buttons as modifiers in WoW. All my problems were gone till the trial period expired :)

Now I'm back to synapse 2.0 and I can't even install it, it just won't install...

Look at USB overdrive I use that with my G700 and it works fine. It's free forever except that each time you boot up it displays a message asking if you want to buy it. I've used steer mouse and this is a relatively similar program.

I have the same problem, i just bought a razor keyboard and the piece of crap software won;t install. I'm starting to regret my purchase already....

When i try to install the software it loads and it shows it has finished the installation. after that there are no files on the computer nor the synapse app does start...

The Mac version of the software does indeed leave something to be desired. I've not had any installation problems with mine, however. Nice that they are posting in this thread. You should contact them and see if they can resolve it for you. My experiences with Razer support have been positive so far, they have some good people working there.

Thank you for the answers (also in the other topic). I will try to contact Razer, hope they can help me with it.

Razer won't install and starts spying on you

On mavericks 10.9.1 Ok I tried to install this 2.0 and it did not show up in my applications folder. but the uninstall script did show up in my utilities folder. But when i try to run it it won't let me enter my admen. pass word.
Also it made little snitch go crazy. razor tried to connect to google, then FaceTime, then it dialed Yahoo after that it tried to connect to razerdriversupport.com. and i mean it does this all the time now.
i suggest if you install this use little snitch first and watch it go nuts trying to connect to all of your social media to get your info. And it doesn't even install the app for me to use so The mouse is as good as dead. If you want i will paste the Little snitch urls its calling out for.

How I removed Razer 2.0

mavericks 10.9.1 Went to finder hit command F. selected search for system files. Found all the files and deleted them but one. the application file that won't show up for me to run was in their hidden away and said it was running so i couldn't delete it. i then deleted the folders in show content. After that i restarted and then deleted the remaining file. Wow Thanks razer for all that work to make your mouse work and it won't work what a waist of time and money.

How I make razed Deathaddler work on my mac

I have bootcamp installed. boot up in windows install Razer Synapse 2.0. register with Razer configure your mouse then restart in Mavericks. Wow It now works only you can't change the settings unless you use preferences mouse settings. HAH Dum hu?

Not all of us want to deal with BootCamp - for one thing it would mean paying for Windows. My solution was to switch to Logitech since they now have decent OS X drivers.

Naga 2014 on a Mac

Hey guys!

I recently got the Naga 2014 and it's Synapse 2.0 software sucks! I've tried 3rd party software (Steermouse, USB Overdrive, Better Touch Tools and Karabine) to manage all the buttons, but no luck. SteerMouse and USB Overdrive recognize some of the buttons, but not all of them, and some are recognized as the same one.

Anyone had this problem?

Cheers!
