Hi,

I have a 32 bit CoreDuo 2007 iMac (10.6.8) which I use as a TV (just live streaming and plex)
Going through all my stuff on the attic I found my old super nintendo with RCA output cable and want to play on it but the mac is my only option since I don't want to buy a TV.

I've been going through sites and googling and I can find a few adapters that position themselves as video capture but not video playback. But obviously to play on my super nintendo I would like to playback the video and not capture it.
I found this adapter: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00JUK4KUM

Are there any (preferably freeware) programs that can play back video from a "Video capture" adapter or do I need programs that come with the adapter?
And another concern I have: Will the video be displayed instantly? i.e.: no long delay when displaying the video because that would make games impossible.

Or if you know a better way to do this, please let me know. Bonus points if it would work with current OSX releases in case I ever want to play on my macbook :)
