I currently have a subscription to both Spotify and Rdio, but can only afford to keep one of them. I'm trying to get some input as to which offers the best experience on the iPad and iPhone. I don't really use the desktop apps or web apps, I really only use it either on my iPhone or iPad. What I'm most interested in is hearing people opinions on which offers the best streaming quality, which offers better gapless playback/instant start, and which people feel have the best UI for the iOS devices.

I had both services for a period of time to compare them both. I ended up going with Rdio for their UI and for the fact that I can listen via their web site on my work PC without using up my phone's data for 8 hours. Recently I have noticed that when I'm streaming Rdio in the car, there will be some buffering during playback. However, they released a new verison of the app, and I have not experienced the issue since. Both services have very similar music libraries, although again, I have seen that a couple albums in my "collection" become unavailable in my area which I'm not a huge fan of. I really can't speak for their iPad app since I don't own one, but their iPhone app is very well polished.

I'm sure most people will recommend Spotify, but I've had Rdio for almost a year and I have no intentions on switching (unless they raise their subscription rate).
