I am using my macbookpro with a cinema display, a external mouse and external keyboard. I write in French Spanish and English. To be able to write the different accents in french or Spanish, it is rather complicated with my built in keyboard and my external mac keyboard. BUT i just plugged a MICROSOFT keyboard and to place accent above letters is sooooooooo much easier. SO MY QUESTION IS: IS IT POSSIBLE TO RE-CONFIGURE THE MAC KEYBOARD SO IT CAN BEHAVE JUST LIKE THIS BULKY BUT SO PRACTICAL MICROSOFT KEYBOARD? (maybe all it needs is a driver???) THANKS A MILLION TIMES FOR YOUR HELP!

Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, in US International setting, it solves the problem of the ' and the ` (like à or é) But still there is the ^ like û; the , like ç; the " like ü etc... The cool thing about the microsoft keyboard is: you just type the accent, then the letter and the accent goes automatically to its place. If you want ' not to be an accent but like aren't all you have to do is to add a space between n and t. This great feature doesn't work on mac keyboard. With mac you have to press option key and another key that is sometimes hard to find... rrrrrrr!!!
I just wonder how by just plugging a microsoft keyboard the thing work? Is there any driver built in the keyboard???
