hellooo ive recently purchased a blu-ray drive and ive been ripping movies to mkv with makemkv, most of these movies are in VC-1 and in order to watch them on my tv (samsung, the tv has usb ports) the mkv's must be usable with DivX.

i have tried to re-encode these movies using xilisoft hd converter, wondershare ultimate for windows (using parallels), ffmpegx, and iskysoft imedia and none seem to be working except for the wondershare ultimate trial for mac but this is a $60 program and there is seemingly no way of "working around" that if you know what i mean...

is there something i'm not getting?!?!?! i've even tried extracting the video file as a .WMV and tried converting it, but it will not work

i dont care about audio quality since i can just switch out the audio tracks for the final mkv but i definitely need help encoding these videos, would adobe media encoder work?

i would definitely prefer a mac solution but i am open windows if necessary...

any help would be greatly appreciated thank you
