Hi everybody,

I just installed macOS 10.14 and discovered that my Fusion Drive was reformatted to APFS. Didn't know before that it now is also supported on Fusion Drives and – as it seems – even "normal" HDDs. I use one for Time Machine backups – my question is: Would you recommend the new possibility of APFS on all types as a fresh start to also completely re-format my Time Machine HDD (and my Carbon Clone Copy drive) to APFS and start new from there for the most robust file system/backups? Or are Time Machine destinations still the only exception which can't/shouldn't be APFS formatted? Should I leave things as they are: My system drive APFS and my Time Machine backup drive / CCC drive Mac OS Extended (Journaled)? Questions over questions ...

Would be grateful for an expert opinion what would be the smartest move – thanks a lot in advance for any info!
