Following a consistent and irritating problem with iMovie (see here)
I'm looking to reinstall iMovie only from the installation discs that came with my MBP. Is there anything I should do before hand to ensure a smooth installation? I'd like to make sure that there is no pref files or whatever (that could be the potential source of the problem) left on my machine.

Your advice appreciated.

Thanks

Before you reinstall iMovie, there is something you can try (just read your other thread).

Before you apply a cross dissolve or fade, first extract the audio from the clip. The audio should then appear below the clip in the timeline on it's own track. Then try your dissolves/fades and see if that cures the audio glitches.
