Hi
I've been asked to sort out a new macbook pro which ran the migration assistant to transfer the data from a older macbook.
There were some issues with the migration, I think the migration was done from a time capsule backup over a slow wifi network, so there may have been some data loss.
Additionally, I think the time capsule back up may have also become corrupted with the two laptops referring to the same backup resource.
Due to the suspected issues, the old laptop has been used and the data on the old laptop is now more recent than the newer macbook pro.
How can I rectify this issue? Would simply running migration assistant with a direct network connection overwrite the data on the newer macbook with the more up to date content on the older laptop?
Thanks
