Hello,

I own a sandisk sansa fuze and I need a program (like itunes) to sync and manage my media and podcasts. I am currently using rockbox firmware on the fuze. If only itunes would allow other manufactures to use their product!.

I would say that 50% of my listening is podcasts so podcast management is very important to me.

It is also important to me to use a program that is well supported and popular and updated from time to time.

Is it better to use VMware and use a windows media player? or is there a real alternative to itunes on OSX.

Please help

p.s., if your answer is "get an ipod, everything else sucks", don't bother responding to this post.

You're asking for a pretty tall order on this one I think.

For management of the audio I'd look at DoubleTwist. Pretty sure it'll sync to just about anything.

I'm really not sure how it'll work with Podcasts. Personally, I'm a HUGE fan of Instacast for iOS... brilliant app that does all the downloading and everything of podcasts right from the iPhone or iPod Touch. So I don't have a lot of experience with podcasting apps outside of iTunes.

Do some searching around on MacUpdate.com and see if you can find anything over there too.

I used to use an iTunes alternative called XNJB. It allows you to transfer your iTunes music files to an MTP device, and as far as I know, they still update that program. MTP is a type of file transfer that is native to windows, but XNJB allows you to transfer your files to your player. Does your player have SMC capability? If so, you can use it just like a regular USB stick and drag and drop your music files onto it.

get it here: http://www.wentnet.com/projects/xnjb/download.html

**note: This program does not work for ALL players, but there is a high chance it will work for yours. Post back your results

I still cannot find an alternative for the msc device.

I am thinking aloud... is there such a programs that allows you to sync several different folders at the same time?

Entertaining good suggestions.
