I'm selling my Macbook Pro, and installing a brand new SSD for the buyer and installing a fresh copy of OS X El Capitan for him. I am currently in the process of downloading the El Capitan installer through the App Store, but to do this, I am signed in through my Apple ID. Will the new copy of OSX be associated with me in any way (because I am signed into my account downloading the installer?)
I am going to create a USB boot drive with it to install OSX on the new SSD.
Or is it better to use the original DVDs that came with my laptop? Is that cleaner?
Also, given I am installing a new SSD, there is no possibility of his getting my data right? Is there anything else I have to reset? PRAM?
