Is there a way to re-update to Mavericks? I'm on it now, but I need to re-download and re-update. Is this possible while keeping all current data?

Yes.

That won't re-download but will re-install from the built in Recovery Partition. If you truly want to re-download too, you may be able to - if your computer is one of these or a later model, do the same steps as above but hold Command-Option-R instead of Command-R.
The recovery partition has recovery tooks, but if you need to reinstall Mavericks it still has to be downloaded. The recovery partition is less than 1 GB in size. The Mavericks installer is larger than 4 GB.
