My training department at work has a new initiative to cut costs for training.
We are a retail company. Currently they bring store personnel to our corporate office for a week long training session. This can be up to 40 people at a time. This gets pretty expensive with airfare, hotel, meals, etc. So someone came up with a grand idea to produce training videos and use live interactive meetings. Send an iPad to each trainee and then they access that content remotely.
The training department already has 40 iPads that they have been using for the onsite training. Now they will just ship those same 40 iPads out to a store location. One of the questions I have asked is how do they plan to ship them back and forth and keep them from being destroyed. Just as I suspected, they were planning to use a UPS Overnight Box with some bubble wrap wrapped around the iPad. I pointed out the folly in this plan and told them about padded shipping containers.
They like the idea. So I went to search for some. Lots and lots of padded cases for shipping a whole classroom full of iPads. But very little for a single iPad. So hoping someone here has a recommendation they can share.
The iPads are iPad Pro 10.5" and are in a soft faux leather case. Would need the tablet cutout to be able to fit the tablet, including the case. And need a pocket to hold the iPad charger and lightning cable, a Cellular Hotspot (they bought non-cellular iPads) and the power supply for that hotspot. And of course, it needs to be lockable to keep the tablet from walking away along the shipping chain.
That sounds like it would be a fairly common shipping case. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.
