I bought/activated my iPhone in August. For reasons unimportant, I deactivated it and returned to my old ATT phone shortly thereafter.

I now want to re-activate my iPhone using the same account and # as before. I can't make this happen using the traditional methods of syncing, etc. When I sync in iTunes, it knows that the phone has already been activated (displays my wireless # and name), but it still says it has "no service". Also, I've not been able to go back through the original activation process as I did the first time.

I restored and when I did this, I got a question about whether I was activating it as my old self (name/wireless #) or as a "new phone". I tried it both ways and still... the phone knows it once belonged to me, but I still can't get it to activate. My old cell w/ ATT still works.

I am coming here before making the dreaded calls to ATT or Apple b/c I just feel that someone knows how to help.

Thanks for any help/advice/detailed instructions.

=)
