Depends Greatly On The Weather
Care should always be exercised when registering a domain name: DNS is case-insensitive and the modern trend of words run together with intercapping can be misinterpreted when converted to lowercase. Who Represents, a database of artists and agents, chose whorepresents.com; a therapists' network thought therapistfinder.com looked good; Experts Exchange, the programmers' site, for a long time had expertsexchange.com; Another website operating as of October, 2006, is penisland.com, a website for Pen Island, an online pen vendor.
In such situations, the proper wording can be clarified by use of hyphens. For instance, expertsexchange.com changed its name to experts-exchange.com.
DNS is case-insensitive, so such Web sites can also be further clarified by advertising them with proper capitalization. For instance, TherapistFinder.com.

Know of any others? If so post them here.

You should also keep in mind that if your domain name gets any traffic, and you forget to renew it, it will be bought up right away and turned into a porn site. I'm not even kidding, it was the worst thing ever. Try explaining to your mom why your website features hardcore porn, all of a sudden.

Did that happen to you?

We had a somewhat similar thread on this a few months ago...there are a few more goodies in there.

Exactly what happened to me with my old web site. Except, it happened 2 weeks before the domain expired as I was in the process of switching hosts. I was pretty pissed. Especially after I got a lot of nasty emails from people blaming ME for it. I probably could have gone after the hosting company, because officially my domain hadn't expired, but it wasn't worth it.
