Why aren't my messages marked as read after I read them? Either viewing them in the auto preview or opening them by double clicking does not change their status - actually that isn't entirely true - if I right click and choose Mark> I get the option to mark as unread, but that is the only indication that the email has been read. In the mail list everything remains bold and the number of unread messages indicator remains the same. I can also specifically select messages and mark them as read but again, I can't tell that they have been read. So, unless I memorize all the changing numbers of unread mail in all my email accounts the only way I know I have new mail is to go into each of my accounts and check them all out until I recognize a mail that I've already read.

Now I see the blue dots that indicate new messages. I'm not sure how they showed up but I guess as long as they stay, I'll be alright.
