Article is from May 2010 (very outdated for computer articles) when intel was one of the best Solid States available.
New vertex 3 is the fastest out according to endgadget at 3:30 this afternoon. It maxes out most sata 6 Gb/s ports even. I'm assuming that its in/out performance is also up there with the fastest drives as well.

I also noticed this when I was reading reviews over at storagereviews.com and I saw that all the intel drives are much faster at random read writes than all the other manufacturers.
Technically, the normal user would benefit most from this. But still, even with these numbers, compared to other SSDs, we're talking about mere milliseconds in difference when loading web pages and opening programs, no?
